3-Days Desert Tour From Fes to Marrakech

Your adventure begins at 08:00 with a pick-up from your accommodation in Fes. We drive south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing the charming towns of Ifrane and Azrou.
Along the way, we’ll stop at the Cedar Forest to see the Barbary macaques (wild monkeys) in their natural habitat.

After lunch, the journey continues through the stunning Ziz Valley, with its palm groves and traditional mud-brick villages. By late afternoon, we reach the village of Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.

Here, your camel ride begins, crossing the magical Erg Chebbi dunes towards your desert camp. Upon arrival, you can walk into the dunes to enjoy sandboarding or simply relax and watch the golden sunset over the Sahara.

In the evening, savor a delicious dinner before gathering around the campfire for drumming, traditional Berber music, and stories under the starlit desert sky. Then, retire to your private tent for a peaceful night in the desert.

Rise early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes — a moment you won’t forget. After breakfast, ride your camel or drive back to Merzouga village to meet your driver.

We travel towards the Dades Valley, passing  Erfoud, famous for its fossils, and El-Jorf, known for its ancient irrigation systems. The route is lined with Berber villages and ever-changing landscapes.

At Todra Gorges, marvel at the towering rock walls and enjoy free time to walk and explore this stunning natural wonder. You may also visit a Berber shop for photos in traditional attire.

We then continue to the beautiful Dades Valley, where you’ll enjoy a relaxing evening, dinner, and overnight stay in a local hotel or riad.

After breakfast, we follow a scenic route through the Rose Valley, famous for its fragrant rose products. Along the way, you may choose to visit the Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate (optional), a famous filming location for international movies.

Next, stop at Kasbah Taourirt for panoramic photos before heading to the UNESCO-listed Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. This iconic site has appeared in films and series such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and Lawrence of Arabia. Explore its historic alleyways and architecture before lunch.

In the afternoon, we cross the High Atlas Mountains, passing traditional Berber villages and stopping at scenic viewpoints along the Tizi n’Tichka Pass.
